生物学史や地学史に関係する自然誌や地誌の歴史記述の研究を目的とする会で、1999年12月より活動しています。時代や地域は特に限定しませんが、西欧近代が関心の中心です。通常のメンバーは7、8人で、英語文献の輪読や情報交換を、1～2ヶ月ごとに行なっています。
